Soundbook
Soundbook is in development. This page teases the concept and the capabilities, not operating steps, while the feature set is still being decided.
Soundbook is the door to the corpus: the window through which the music inside it becomes something you can meet in the here and now, instead of disappearing into a black box. Special music from special artists enters CORPUS; Soundbook is the consumer-facing way an audiovisual creative reaches it.
Where CMI demonstrates CORPUS's search intelligence directly, Soundbook is the product built on those methods: the surface a creative meets, returns to, and recommends. That is what makes it an essential part of the ecosystem, not a feature bolted onto it.
Speak your story; Soundbook speaks music
On top of CORPUS's semantic understanding of music, Soundbook translates between two languages: the language of filmmakers, game designers, and screenwriters, and the language of music.
You stay in your own world. Describe the scene, what happens in it, what you hope the music will trigger, what it should add to the story. Soundbook interprets that musically, the way a film composer does: someone whose craft is to speak both languages and cross between them.
And when you don't yet know what the music should carry, Soundbook proposes several directions at once, so you can hear how the same moment wants to go somewhere different under different music. That reading of a scene is one of the search methods CORPUS developed, and you can already try it as Narrative Search.
From a find to a connection
The find is a beginning, not an end. When a track inspires you (or you want it in your film right now), Soundbook turns it into a next step:
- License it. Where a licensing path exists, such as a catalog partnership, a button takes you to that catalog's shop to license the track. One-click licensing is the goal we are building toward.
- Reach the artist. Otherwise an artist page shows what the musician does and lets you contact them directly. Every track has a person behind it, and Soundbook makes that person reachable.
A briefing a musician understands
Soundbook has followed how you got here: why this scene led you to this music, the dramaturgical reasoning behind the choice. It writes that derivation into a briefing a musician can read: the story, what the music should do, and the references that pointed the way. Hand it to the artist behind the track, or to a different composer entirely, as the brief for something made for you.
