CORPUS Music Intelligence (CMI)

CMI is the chat at intelligence.corpus.music: CORPUS's search intelligence you can talk to. It is where we design how a catalog should answer a real brief, and the live demonstration of how that intelligence drops into a client's own environment.

You usually know what you need music for (a scene, a feeling, a client reaction) long before you know which track. Genres and keyword tags are too coarse to cross that gap. CMI lets you search music by meaning: describe the brief the way it actually arrives, and CMI works dramaturgically from rough creative input toward tracks that make sense.

Ways into the catalog

You don't choose a search mode; you talk, and CMI shapes the request and routes it for you. Bring whatever you have:

• A track to understand: name, paste, or upload a reference track and CMI describes it and turns it into a search, no genre or tag vocabulary needed.
• A reference to match by sound: for an audio-to-audio comparison, ask for something "as close as possible."
• A sound you can name: "driving synthwave, retro but not cheesy" becomes an explicit search.
• A scene or a feeling: "the moment she reads the letter and realizes he's gone" returns three distinct musical directions.
• Several needs at once: paste a brief with multiple cues and CMI lists them so you can pick.

If a request is still too broad ("music for a video game"), CMI asks one targeting question before it searches. It shows which route it took as it works, and the session stays in that lane so follow-ups refine instead of restarting.

Sandbox and live demo

CMI is two things at once. It is the sandbox where CORPUS develops the search methods and designs how the chat behaves. And it is the demo for partners: the same intelligence runs here in the chat, or (through an API) powers search, recommendations, and brief-to-track matching inside a client's own platform, tested first on a slice of their own catalog.
